  • Table22 empowers beloved restaurants to build wildly successful subscription businesses. These subscriptions take many forms: it might be an off-menu monthly meal kit from your favorite Thai spot, or a wine club from your favorite bar, or a collection of unique pastries from your favorite bakery. We’re creating a new way for restaurants to engage their customers outside their physical location by offering unique, curated experiences they can’t get anywhere else.

We provide restaurants with everything they need to launch, run, and grow a subscription business. That includes:

    1. Guidance from our team on what type of product & offering would be most successful

    2. All the tech and finance stuff behind the scenes that’s needed to enable subscriptions (engineering infrastructure, payment processing, analytics, etc)

    3. Extensive marketing support (social media, web, email, and more)

    4. Logistics: our team handles shipping, delivery, and pickups for our partner restaurants. This Operations Coordinator role is focused on this collection of services for our partners.

Table22 was born out of the pandemic as our team watched thousands of beloved restaurants struggle and/or close across the country. Our aim is to enable restaurants to build predictable, recurring revenue that can provide financial stability for a challenging industry, all while providing new and unique experiences for restaurants’ best customers.

We’re a restaurant-loving, hospitality-obsessed, all-remote team of eaters, leaders, product designers, engineers, data scientists, marketers, finance wizards, culinary school alums, and humans with a single mission:

To help restaurants survive and thrive in a challenging, ever-changing world through a new model of customer patronage.

  • Logistics and delivery support is a core value proposition that Table22 offers its partners. We are scaling up our delivery offering and will have hundreds of restaurants we work with by the end of the year. We hire, train, and support our own network of delivery drivers as well as manage all route optimization, day-of logistics, and customer support across 15 cities. This support is vital in enabling many of our partners to run their subscription programs.

We’re hiring for an Operations Coordinator who can help us continue to scale our delivery and logistics to new partners and new cities. This is a multi-faceted role. A typical day may include:

    • Responding to 10-15 subscriber customer service questions and requests

    • Route and logistics planning (we’ll train you – no experience required) for upcoming partner deliveries in various cities

    • Meeting with restaurant owners, managers, chefs, and other staff in-person to understand their needs, pain points, and exploring how we can help them

    • Hiring, training, and managing new delivery drivers across the country. (We have some existing methods and processes in place for this, so you won’t be starting from scratch!)

    • Working cross-functionally internally with marketing, partner management, and sales to help launch or expand delivery and shipping logistics for partner restaurants

    • Documenting existing systems, and working with the team to develop new processes to enable our logistics operations to scale

This role will require frequent travel to meet with partners and drivers. During any work travel, all meals, transportation, and lodging are covered by Table22. More details:

    • 4-10 days/month of travel is expected, almost always during the 2nd-4th weeks of the month.

    • Travel schedules for a given month are usually set by the 3rd or 4th of the month.

    • Some months substantially more travel may be required, and some months there may be less.

    • Typically travel will be limited to weekdays, but not always.

With 1-2 months’ notice, we can easily accommodate the occasional need to not travel for a specific week or month.

The Operations Coordinator will report to the Logistics Operations Manager (Daniel Willson). You’ll also work closely with John Mark (JM) Purcell, Table22’s Chief Marketing Officer and Head of Delivery Operations. You’ll also work cross-functionally with all of our Partner Managers, some members of our sales team, and our marketing team.

    • An operator at your core: ridiculously detail-oriented and organized – able to juggle many priorities while not dropping any balls. You are highly resourceful, an eager learner, and thrive in a scrappy and often chaotic environment.

    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills: we want someone we can trust to represent Table22 professionally to our partner restaurants in-person and over email, as well as someone who can inspire trust and confidence with our team of contracted delivery drivers.

    • Customer obsessed: willing to go above and beyond to make our restaurant partners and their subscribers happy, even if that’s inconvenient or more challenging for you and our team.

    • Comfortable with technology: you’ll live in Google Drive, Slack, Airtable, and route management software. We’ll train you on everything you need to know, but a general comfort and speed with software is a must.

    • Deep respect for our contractors: you’ll work with dozens of our contracted drivers across the country. We pride ourselves on communicating with them kindly and regularly, paying them on time, and welcoming their feedback. They’re vital members of our team and we treat them as such.

    • Experience working in a fast-paced, small-team environment: we’re a nimble team and we want whoever joins us to be able to contribute quickly.

    • A passion for food, restaurants, and the hospitality industry. Previous experience in the space is a plus, but not a requirement!

    • We’re tackling a big problem with even bigger potential. Table22 partners have already generated millions in subscription revenue, and retain >80% of their subscribers after the first 6 months.

    • We’re trusted by some of the best restaurants in the country. We serve nearly 200 partners across 60+ cities and counting.

    • Our investors are behind companies like Airbnb, Spotify, Patreon, & Etsy, and food world leaders from institutions like Blue Hill Stone Barns and Sweetgreen; our team is made up of alumni from companies like Warby Parker, Squarespace, and Stitch Fix.

    • Our work has been featured in the New York Times, Bloomberg, The New Yorker, New York Magazine, The TODAY Show, Eater, and local media outlets across the country.

    • You’ll have a unique opportunity to travel far and wide to meet with (and try) some of the best restaurants in the country.

    • You’ll be able to work remotely and (mostly) set your own schedule.

    • You’ll learn a ton. Our delivery team’s coaching-obsessed culture means you’ll get up to speed fast. You’ll also have plenty of opportunities to learn about how all parts of a fast-growing startup works.

    • We are still a fairly young company so if you like more established companies, this role isn’t for you.

    • We're an early stage startup. Projects and priorities may shift.

    • A few nights a month you'll have shifted working hours where you start at noon and work until 8pm due to delivery scheduling (roughly 1-4 nights/month).

    • Everyone on the team is extremely mission-driven, and works incredibly hard to push towards our lofty ambitions.

    • Note the details on work travel above.

  • Table22 is a remote, distributed company—we do not have an office, employees work from the location that best suits their needs, and all communications take place using digital tools. Most of the logistics / delivery team is located on the east coast, but you do not need to be.

We don’t care where you choose to live or work, so long as you’re (a) based in the continental US, and (b) able to travel during the week, typically 1-2 weeks each month. That does mean that proximity to an airport is helpful and important.

If you’re based in any of the following cities, you’ll have extra opportunities to visit Table22 partners and will have less out-of-town travel: New York City, Austin, Chicago, Seattle, Washington DC.

  • We welcome all applicants, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, sex, ability or gender identity—and encourage Black, Indigenous, and non-Black people of color (BIPOC) to apply. We also encourage Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual, Transgender, Queer, Intersex, Asexual (LGBTQIA+) folks, disabled people, and all people with non-dominant identities to apply.

No college degree is required and there are no required number of years of experience. We care about what you've learned throughout the course of your life, and we believe the best candidates will have learned relevant job skills and developed their leadership experience in a wide variety of ways. We do not drug test or run criminal background checks.

Please note this role is only open to candidates that are legally authorized to work where they reside. Due to the remote nature of the role, Table22 does not currently sponsor candidates for visas or work authorizations/permits and does not currently support the transfer of visas or work authorizations/permits from prior employers to Table22.

  • Salary range: $65,000 - $75,000, plus stock options.

Table22 offers all full-time employees health insurance (medical, dental, and vision), paid time off for federal holidays, and unlimited personal paid time off. We also offer a 401(k), though with no employer match at this time. You will be provided with a company laptop as well.

Additionally, all Table22 staff receive $100 credit to subscribe to any T22 restaurant partner(s) of their choice.

During any work travel, all meals, transportation, and lodging are covered by Table22.

  • What are some examples of places that someone in this role might travel to?

Travel will primarily be to major American cities: San Francisco, Los Angeles, Portland, Seattle, Denver, Austin, New York City, Boston, Washington DC, etc.

Where is your main office located?

We are an entirely remote company.

What are the hours of operation?

Most team members work roughly 9am-6pm in their local time zone. Occasional meetings or calls outside of those hours are necessary to accommodate partners’ or colleagues’ schedules in different time zones.

    What is the workplace like?

Though we’re all-remote, we’re a tight-knit team! Especially in this role, you’ll also have an opportunity to meet semi-regularly with many team members in-person given all of the travel involved in the position. We are also planning to host regular all-team off-sites post-pandemic.

How are drivers compensated? (Hourly, by route, are there any additional incentives offered to contractors?)

Drivers are paid hourly. We’re actively exploring incentives we can offer as well.

Why the number 22 in the name Table22?

Our CEO named the company after his favorite table at Pasquale Jones where he first felt the magic of being a regular.

Are you hiring for one role or multiple?

We are only hiring for one role at this time, but we will reach back out to this applicant pool if and when that changes!
