We’re Sohail and Sara - husband and wife, teammates in love, life and food. We conceived of Brushland Eating House in 2014 as a product of our passion for all three, knowing no better way to express our commitment than by carving a monument and placing it on Main Street. So we rambled up to Bovina with a serious hankering for hosting, a deep desire to feed our community, and a recipe for a mean schnitzel, to do just that. We set out to create a place worth craving, where dishes are at once approachable and celebratory, since we believe that everyday dining doesn’t have to mean ordinary. We also knew our faces should always be those that greet you when you arrive and wish you a goodnight when you head out - Sohail from the kitchen where he reigns and Sara from the door where she hosts - a constant reminder that we wouldn’t want to be anywhere else.

Each month, you’ll receive educational content and recipes for a different starter, entrée, and side, so you can recreate a full multi-course meal in your own home! For our friends who live far from Bovina or our well-provisioned neighbors, this will give you digital access to the month’s recipes, ingredient list, and guided video content to walk you through each recipe.

For those in the neighborhood, this will give you both digital access to the month’s recipes, ingredient list, and guided video content, as well as all the ingredients you need to cook alongside Chef Sohail each month. All produce, protein, and fresh provisions are sourced from our local farm partners and producers, and each month’s kit will usually include our some of specialty house-made pantry goods! We charge your credit card the day you sign up. The recurring charge is billed every 30 days from the day you signed up.
