About Genghis Cohen and The Spare Room

A Fairfax District original, **Genghis Cohen** has been serving NYC-style Chinese food to Angelenos and out-of-towners alike since ’83. Founded by music producer Allan Rinde, this was his ode to a cuisine readily available in his hometown of NYC, but harder to come by out west. Under the current ownership of two native New Yorkers, we look to continue to offer the same level of excellence our customers have come to expect. For years Genghis Cohen has been recognized for the quality of our dishes alongside our world-famous Foo Foo Drinks. With a refined atmosphere and courteous service, we look to offer you gracious dining without the extravagance.
**The Spare Room** is a gaming parlor and cocktail lounge located in the Hollywood Roosevelt Hotel. It is a place build on social interaction, that brings groups together by their appreciation and passion for innovative cocktails, music, design, and the camaraderie of gaming.

Members of Genghis Cohen Szechuan Off-Menu Tasting Series join in on the cant-miss banquet of New York-Style Chinese food with a menu designed to give you a taste of everything. With classic favorites, spicy favorites, and some secret off-menu specialty dishes do not plan on leaving this meal unsatisfied. To add a little something extra to your night - add a fun Foo Foo cocktail, because hey, why not live a little?

For Game Night

Members of The Spare Room Cocktail Club not bring home the famously creative drinks, they also gain access to off menu cocktails and provisions - straight from the bar team! Play along with the team as they bring you new, fun, mischievous spirits, syrups, bitters and sips that will keep you on your toes. Also included in your membership are The Spare Room Mad Libs - bring them to your cocktail party to have a little laugh!

Sample cocktails may include:

Player 001 - cucumber vodka, soju, dry vermouth, kimchi
Once Over Twice - vu achaca, pear brandy, Montenero, cinnamon, lime, fizz
Green for Danger - Mezcal, dry vermouth, lustau manzanilla sherry, cucumber lime cordial, absinthe
Cha-Ching - tequila, cynar, chili, cinnamon, orange, lemon

How it Works

When can I get my goods | If you sign up within a given calendar month (or have a recurring charge on a given month), you will be eligible to receive goods in the next month. For example, if you signed up in January, the first month you’ll be eligible to receive your subscription goods will be February, etc.

When do I get billed | When you sign up for a subscription, you will have a recurring membership. Your first charge will occur on the day you sign up, and you will have a recurring charge every subsequent month (unless you pause or cancel your subscription)

How do I manage my subscription | After signing up, you can manage your subscription at Table22 Member Portal, where you can skip a month, pause your subscription, cancel or update billing & other account information with the click of a button!

How do I get my goods | If you select pick up, you will receive an email and text message at the beginning of the month confirming the pick up date and inviting you to schedule a pick up slot. If you select delivery, you will receive an email and text message at the beginning of the month confirming your delivery date.
