About Kramers
Kramers first opened its doors amid the Bicentennial celebrations of 1976. At the time of its opening, it was the first bookstore/café in Washington DC.
Over the years, through expansions, subpoenas, and innumerable neighborhood changes, much of our business has remained constant, notably our commitment to providing our patrons with access to the best books we can procure and to the most delicious, varied food we can produce. From tourists to neighbors, college students to the political elite, there is something for everyone at Kramers!

Kramers COVID Safety Guidelines
Kramers provides a safe in-store pick-up and browsing experience with temperature checks at the door, social distance markers on the floor, a hand sanitizer station, and plexi-shields at the register. Kramers also offers outdoor pick up options to call the store at pick up and bring the box outside, so that members do not need to enter the store.
Additionally, if subscribers prefer no box/packaging, they can email bookwine@kramers.com.

When will I be charged my membership fee?
We charge your credit card the day you sign up. The recurring charge is billed every 30 days from the day you signed up.
Can I cancel or suspend my membership?
Absolutely, you can login to your account and pause or cancel with one click at any time.
