  • When you subscribe to the Seylou Baker’s Box, you’ll experience one-of-a-kind breads, croissants, pastries, arlettes, cookies, teas, coffees, and more from D.C.’s first and only bakery that operates an in-house mill and sources wheats, legumes, and grains from local farms. Baker Jonathan Bethony oversees the breadmaking, milling the grains, fermenting the starter, forming the breads, and baking them in an imported wood-fired oven.

    • Whole Wheat Croissants, which can easily be frozen and reheated at a later date

    • The Standard Box ($30/week): A bread-driven curation with several of our fresh loaves, and other assorted goodies

  • The Seylou Baker’s Box will be available bi-weekly on every 1st & 3rd Tuesday of the month for 2 total orders across the month. Pick up members will be able to pick up their order at Seylou between 10AM-3PM on 1st & 3rd Tuesdays and delivery members will have their order delivered on the 1st & 3rd Tuesday. Note that your membership covers a full month’s of goods and we’re unable to offer a partial refund or skip for specific weeks. If you are unavailable for one of the weeks, feel free to skip the month, or invite a friend or family member to receive your order instead! At this time, we cannot accommodate order modifications or allergies.

    The Seylou Baker’s Box membership is recurring, so you’ll be billed at the end of each month for the following month’s orders unless you pause or cancel. If you sign up in March, your first order will be available in April. You’ll then be billed at the end of April for May's goods, and so on and so forth. Manage your account seamlessly in the Table22 Member Portal, where you can change your membership, skip a month, pause or cancel your membership, or update billing and other account information with the click of a button!

Who You’re Supporting

Jonathan and Jessica, husband and wife duo, started Seylou in 2017. Jonathan's extensive study and work in the San Francisco Bay area and the Washington State University Bread Lab prepared him to open a whole grain, locally sourced fresh milled sourdough bakery on the East Coast closer to their families.

Jonathan's passion for bread and local grains began on a trip to Senegal in 2007, and provided the inspiration for what is now Seylou. The word Seylou is the name of an eagle in the Senegal region. Senegal is a place that Jonathan continues to visit and support to this day and is home to many dear friends.
